Philosophy
Happy Heart Preschool and Childcare uses Christian values and principles throughout the day to teach and encourage the children.
A Happy Heart's day will provide opportunities for social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth.
In learning things, I feel that children respond to the same principles as adults: (respect, courtesy, honesty, boundaries, space). I allow the children to progress at their own individual rate.
Between the ages of 2 and 5, children move from a totally self-centered point of view to a socially cooperative one. It is one of my main goals to assist the child in making this transition.
My other goals include:
To build a positive self-image
To develop positive social interactions
To build a positive attitude towards learning
To develop a constructive decision-making life pattern
To allow the children to experience consequences of one’s action
To experience socially acceptable behavior
To experience appreciation of others both like and unlike ourselves
The indoor environment at Happy Hearts offers many enriching toys and activities
I believe in encouraging children with a tone of voice that will encourage them to want to do better.
